1. Take care of your deck or patio
The summer is when you will be getting the most use out of your outdoor space.
Throughout the winter, your deck and patio were covered in snow and ice, so be sure to properly prep it for use during the warmer months.
At the very least, your deck or patio needs to be power washed and cleared of all debris.
Now is also the perfect time to inspect your outdoor area for damage and replace any stones or wood boards if they are broken, cracked, or rotting.
And depending on the type of deck or patio you have in your backyard, you should consider getting it resealed or refinished.

It’s best to clean your gutters out in the spring to get rid of any water or debris that accumulated during the winter, but if you’ve been putting it off, don’t wait any longer.
